I love the "Your Phone" app and have used it for several months on two different PCs, but it has started telling me most of the time that it can't connect to my phone.

Your Phone App won't connect "Link to PC" won't connect either. (And yeesh, why did the forum turn the quote marks in my title into code? Go figure.) How did it get on my Note9 though?Īnd is there a way to remove it? Or should I just ignore it? (I tried updating it, but the only option I had then was to uninstall the update-which is what happens when you try to uninstall a bundled app like Facebook or SmartThings.)Īpparently, Samsung is bundling this app (which it calls simply "Link to Windows") with Galaxy 10 phones.

The only option Play Store gives me is to update it there's no "Uninstall" button. It doesn't appear in my phone's Apps list, and I can't find it from my Home screen. It's an app published by Microsoft that lets you connect your phone to a Windows 10 PC, so you can use the PC to access your recent photos, send texts, and make phone calls. Voila, now all your notification will also be displayed on your PC.I was at Google Play Store tonight, updating apps on my Note9, and saw an update available for something called "Your Phone Companion – Link to Windows". Next click allow when you see “Your Phone Companion” in the “Read App Notification” list. It’ll show you tutorial to connect the phone, you can follow that, which is giving access in the menu option in settings or simply click on open settings on your phone, which automatically open the desired menu in your phone. To get a real-time notification on the PC, click on the bell icon and choose to get started. This will show you a constant notification, “Connected to PC” and a disconnect option, whenever you don’t want both of the devices to sync. You will get prompt asking permission to connect it to the PC, just click allow. As soon as you log in from both your phone and PC, it seamlessly connects both the devices. Both devices need to be connected to the internet. So if you wish to change it, you can do that in the start menu, under Account Settings, else you can straightaway start using it. The app will automatically detect the account you’re logged in through in your PC. It asks whether your phone is Android or iPhone, let’s choose Android for our convenience. After Your Phone installs, launch the app.
